Terms of sale

Effective 1 October 2026. These terms apply to everything you buy from the MUNARISH Academy shop on munarish.com. They do not cover tuition fees, which the Academy office agrees with each family, or the Munarish Phonics app, which is sold through Google Play.

Anybody can browse the shop and fill a basket. To pay, you need a shop account. Anyone aged 18 or over can open one with "Enter Shop", using their email address or mobile number and a password; we send a code to confirm the address is yours. If you forget your password, "Forgot password?" sends a code so you can choose a new one.

Parents can use the email address or mobile number and password they use with the Academy. Academy email addresses, given to pupils and staff, cannot be used in the shop.

Pupils of the Academy cannot buy from the shop, because a person under 18 cannot enter into a contract of sale. A pupil who needs something from the shop should ask a parent or guardian to buy it.

A shop account gives you the shop only. It does not give you access to the Academy portal, which is for enrolled families and Academy staff.

3. What we sell

We sell books, worksheets and quizzes that the Academy writes. Most are digital, as PDF files. Where a printed copy is offered, its product page says so. Everything we sell is made in India.

Each product page describes what you will get and lets you read some pages before you buy. If what you receive does not match the description, our refund policy applies.

4. Prices and tax

Prices are shown in Indian rupees and include GST. Your basket shows the full amount before you pay, including the tax and any delivery charge. That is the amount you will be charged.

After you pay, we send you a tax invoice by email. You can also download it from your orders page. If you have a GST registration, you can add your GSTIN at checkout and it will appear on the invoice.

5. Ordering and paying

To place an order, you tick the box to agree to these terms and our refund policy, and then pay. Your order is confirmed when the payment succeeds. We keep a record of when you agreed and to which version of these terms.

You pay through our payment provider. We do not see or keep your card, UPI or bank details.

If a payment fails, nothing is charged. If your bank takes the money but the payment still fails, the amount is returned to you automatically, usually within 5 to 7 working days.

If an order has not been paid, you can cancel it from your orders page. If you have paid for printed copies that have not yet been posted, you can ask to cancel from the same page, and we refund you in full. There is never a charge for cancelling.

6. Delivery

Digital resources. These are ready in "My resources" as soon as your payment succeeds. You can download them as often as you like. Nothing is posted.

Printed copies. Where these are offered, the product page and your basket show the delivery charge before you pay, and the checkout asks where to post them. We post only within India. When your order is posted, we email you the courier's name and, where there is one, a tracking number and link. You can follow each step (packed, posted, delivered) on your orders page.

7. Using what you buy

What you buy is for use in your own home or classroom. You may print as many copies as you need for the children you look after or teach.

You may not resell, share, upload or publish our resources, or pass them off as your own. The copyright stays with MUNARISH Academy.

8. Cancellations and refunds

Our refund policy explains when we refund and how. It forms part of these terms. We never charge a fee for cancelling an order.

9. Complaints and our Grievance Officer

To raise a problem with an order, open the order on your orders page and choose "Ask for a refund, or report a problem". You can also use our Help & complaints page, or email or phone our Grievance Officer:

We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and give you a reference number. We will resolve it within one month of receiving it.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the National Consumer Helpline by phoning 1915 or at consumerhelpline.gov.in. You can also file a complaint with a Consumer Commission, including online at e-daakhil.nic.in.

10. Your account

You can sign out from any page, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time. When your account is deleted, you can no longer download what you bought. We keep your invoices and payment records for as long as tax law requires. The Privacy Policy explains what else we keep and why.

A parent whose child leaves the Academy keeps their shop account, with everything they have bought, until they ask us to delete it.

11. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are handled by the courts in Chennai. This does not affect your right under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 to complain to a Consumer Commission where you live.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. An order is always governed by the terms you agreed to when you placed it.
